Composition

Each rectal suppository contains:

• Diclofenac Sodium 100 mg – anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic

Indications

Used for:

• Relief of moderate pain (e.g., musculoskeletal pain, post-operative pain)

• Reduction of inflammation

• Treatment of acute flares of rheumatoid arthritis or osteoarthritis when oral administration is not suitable

Mechanism of Action

• Inhibits cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2), reducing prostaglandin synthesis

• Provides anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic effects

Dosage & Administration

• Adults: 1 suppository rectally 1–2 times daily, or as directed by a physician

• Administer after bowel movement if possible

• Do not exceed the prescribed dose

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to diclofenac, other NSAIDs, or any excipients

• Active gastrointestinal bleeding or ulceration

• Severe heart, liver, or kidney disease

• History of asthma or allergic reactions triggered by NSAIDs

Precautions

• Use with caution in patients with cardiovascular disease, gastrointestinal disorders, or renal impairment

• Monitor for signs of gastrointestinal bleeding, especially in elderly patients
