Active Ingredients:

• Estradiol valerate 2 mg

• Norgestrel 0.5 mg

Pharmacological Class:
Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) – estrogen and progestogen combination

Dosage Form:
Tablets — each pack contains 21 tablets (white and light brown tablets taken in sequence)

Indications:

• Hormone replacement therapy in women with menopausal symptoms due to estrogen deficiency (e.g., hot flashes, night sweats, vaginal dryness)

• Regulation of menstrual cycle disturbances caused by hormonal imbalance

• Prevention of postmenopausal osteoporosis (in selected cases)

Mechanism of Action:
Cyclo-Progynova provides cyclic estrogen and progestogen replacement. Estradiol valerate compensates for the decline in endogenous estrogen, relieving menopausal symptoms and maintaining bone density. Norgestrel opposes estrogen’s effects on the endometrium, preventing hyperplasia and reducing cancer risk.

Dosage and Administration:

• Take one tablet daily for 21 consecutive days, followed by a 7-day tablet-free interval.

• Begin each new pack after the 7-day break.

• The sequence (white then light brown tablets) must be followed correctly.

• Treatment should be individualized based on patient needs and response.

Precautions:

• Contraindicated in women with a history of breast or estrogen-dependent cancer, undiagnosed vaginal bleeding, thromboembolic disorders, or severe liver disease.

• Monitor blood pressure, lipid profile, and breast health regularly.

• Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration necessary.
