Tobradex Eye Ointment 3.5gm

Active Ingredients
Tobramycin 0.3%
Dexamethasone 0.1%

Indications
Used for the treatment of eye infections accompanied by inflammation, such as:

• Bacterial conjunctivitis

• Keratitis

• Blepharitis with inflammatory symptoms

Dosage
Adults and children: Apply a small ribbon of ointment along the inside of the lower eyelid 2–3 times daily, or as directed by a doctor.
Do not touch the tip of the tube to the eye or surrounding areas to avoid contamination.

Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to tobramycin, dexamethasone, or other corticosteroids/aminoglycosides.
Viral or fungal eye infections unless combined with appropriate therapy.
Glaucoma or history of steroid-induced ocular hypertension unless closely monitored.

Side Effects
Mild burning or stinging
Temporary blurred vision
Eye irritation or redness
Rare: increased intraocular pressure, delayed wound healing, allergic reaction

Drug Interactions
Use cautiously with other topical ophthalmic medications.
Avoid concurrent use with other aminoglycoside or corticosteroid eye products unless prescribed.

Storage
Store at room temperature, protected from light and heat.
Keep the tube tightly closed and out of reach of children.
