Nerkardou 10mg 30 Orodispersible Films

Indications:

• Treatment of essential hypertension (high blood pressure).

• Management of chronic heart failure in stable patients (usually as adjunct therapy).

Mechanism of Action:
Nebivolol selectively blocks beta-1 adrenergic receptors, leading to a decrease in heart rate and cardiac output. It also promotes nitric oxide–mediated vasodilation, which helps lower blood pressure and improve vascular function.

Dosage:

• Usual adult dose: 2.5 mg to 5 mg once daily, depending on the patient’s blood pressure response and clinical condition.

• The orodispersible film should be placed on the tongue and allowed to dissolve without water.

• Can be taken with or without food.

Precautions:

• Use cautiously in patients with bradycardia, heart block, severe liver impairment, or heart failure.

• Do not stop therapy abruptly; dose reduction should be gradual.

• Monitor blood pressure and heart rate regularly.

• Contraindicated in severe bradycardia, cardiogenic shock, or uncontrolled heart failure.

Common Side Effects:

• Fatigue or weakness

• Dizziness or lightheadedness

• Headache

• Slow heart rate (bradycardia)

• Shortness of breath (rare)

• Gastrointestinal discomfort

Note: Orodispersible films offer rapid disintegration in the mouth, improving compliance for patients who have difficulty swallowing tablets.
