Composition

Each vaginal ovule contains:

• Fluconazole 600 mg

Indications

Used for the treatment of:

• Vaginal candidiasis (yeast infection)

Mechanism of Action

Fluconazole inhibits fungal cytochrome P450 enzymes, reducing ergosterol synthesis in the fungal cell membrane, which leads to cell death.

Dosage & Administration

• Adult women: One ovule inserted vaginally once daily as prescribed.

• Usually, treatment is for 1 to 3 days depending on severity.

• Wash hands before and after insertion.

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to fluconazole or other azoles

• Pregnancy (unless clearly needed)

• Severe liver or kidney disease

Precautions

• Avoid use with drugs that interact with fluconazole (e.g., certain antiarrhythmics).

• Monitor for liver function if used repeatedly.

• Not recommended for children without medical supervision.
