Medication Name: Diglifloz 5/1000mg Plus 30 Tablets

Active Ingredients:

• Dapagliflozin 5 mg

• Metformin Hydrochloride 1000 mg

Pharmacological Class:
Combination of SGLT2 inhibitor and biguanide antidiabetic agent

Indication:
Used in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus to improve glycemic control when treatment with both dapagliflozin and metformin is appropriate, as an adjunct to diet and exercise.

Dosage:
One tablet once or twice daily, as prescribed by the physician.
Dose adjustments may be required based on renal function and blood glucose response.

Administration:

• Take orally with meals to reduce gastrointestinal side effects from metformin.

• Swallow the tablet whole; do not crush or chew.

• Maintain adequate hydration during treatment.

Precautions:

• Assess renal function before initiation and periodically during therapy.

• Contraindicated in patients with severe renal impairment, metabolic acidosis, or diabetic ketoacidosis.

• Use with caution in patients with liver impairment or heart failure.

• Discontinue temporarily before major surgery or use of iodinated contrast agents.

Possible Side Effects:
Hypoglycemia (especially if combined with insulin or sulfonylureas), urinary tract infections, genital fungal infections, increased urination, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal discomfort.
