Dexatrol Eye Ointment 5gm

Active Ingredients
Dexamethasone 0.1%

Indications
Used for the treatment of ocular inflammation caused by:

• Allergic conjunctivitis

• Postoperative inflammation

• Uveitis

• Other inflammatory eye conditions as prescribed by a doctor

Dosage
Adults and children: Apply a small ribbon of ointment along the inside of the lower eyelid 2–3 times daily, or as directed by a doctor.
Do not touch the tip of the tube to the eye or surrounding areas to avoid contamination.

Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to dexamethasone or other corticosteroids.
Viral, fungal, or mycobacterial eye infections unless combined with appropriate antimicrobial therapy.
Glaucoma or history of steroid-induced ocular hypertension unless closely monitored.

Side Effects
Temporary blurred vision
Mild burning or stinging
Eye irritation or redness
Rare: increased intraocular pressure, cataract formation, delayed wound healing, or allergic reaction

Drug Interactions
Use cautiously with other topical ophthalmic medications.
Avoid concurrent use with other corticosteroid eye products unless prescribed.

Storage
Store at room temperature, protected from light and heat.
Keep the tube tightly closed and out of reach of children.
