Ciprocin 0.3% Eye & Ear Drops 5ml

Generic Name: Ciprofloxacin 0.3% ophthalmic and otic solution

Formulation: Eye and ear drops, 5 ml bottle

Indications:

• Treatment of bacterial infections of the eye (conjunctivitis, keratitis) and ear (otitis externa, otitis media) caused by susceptible organisms.

Dosage & Administration:

• Eyes: 1–2 drops in the affected eye(s) every 2–4 hours for the first 2 days, then reduce as prescribed.

• Ears: 3–4 drops in the affected ear(s) every 2–4 hours for the first 2 days, then as directed.

• Wash hands before use.

• Avoid touching the dropper tip to the eye, ear, or any surface.

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to ciprofloxacin, other fluoroquinolones, or any component of the formulation.

• Avoid use in viral or fungal eye/ear infections unless specifically directed.

Precautions:

• Use with caution in patients with a history of tendon disorders or fluoroquinolone allergy.

• Not recommended for use in penetrating eye injuries without medical supervision.

• Remove contact lenses before eye application; wait 15 minutes before reinsertion.

Side Effects:

• Mild burning, stinging, or irritation

• Temporary blurred vision

• Eye or ear redness

• Rare: allergic reactions, itching, swelling

Storage:

• Store at room temperature below 25°C.

• Keep the bottle tightly closed and protected from light.

• Keep out of reach of children.

Pregnancy & Lactation:

• Use only if clearly needed; consult a doctor before use.

Drug Interactions:

• Minimal when used topically; systemic interactions unlikely.
