Active Ingredient:

• Insulin Degludec 70% (long-acting)

• Insulin Aspart 30% (rapid-acting)

Pharmacological Class:
Premixed insulin analog (Ultra-long-acting + Rapid-acting)

Indication:
Used in adults, adolescents, and children with type 1 or type 2 diabetes mellitus to improve glycemic control, providing both basal and mealtime insulin coverage in a single injection.

Dosage:

• Dose is individualized based on blood glucose monitoring, diet, and physical activity.

• Typically injected once or twice daily with main meals, as directed by a physician.

Administration:

• Administer subcutaneously using the prefilled FlexTouch pen.

• Injection sites: abdomen, thigh, or upper arm; rotate sites to prevent lipodystrophy.

• Do not mix with other insulins or inject intravenously.

Precautions:

• Monitor blood glucose regularly to prevent hypoglycemia.

• Adjust dose during illness, stress, or lifestyle changes.

• Use caution in patients with renal or hepatic impairment.

• Store unused pens in the refrigerator; in-use pens may be kept at room temperature (below 30°C) for up to 21 days.

Possible Side Effects:
Hypoglycemia, injection site reactions (redness, swelling, pain), lipodystrophy, weight gain, edema, and rarely allergic reactions.
