Optidex-T Eye Drops 5ml

Generic Name: Tobramycin 0.3% / Dexamethasone 0.1% ophthalmic suspension

Formulation: Eye drops, 5 ml bottle

Indications:

• Treatment of bacterial eye infections with associated inflammation.

• Combines antibacterial (tobramycin) and anti-inflammatory (dexamethasone) effects.

• Effective for conjunctivitis, keratitis, and other ocular inflammatory conditions caused by susceptible bacteria.

Dosage & Administration:

• Usually 1–2 drops in the affected eye(s) every 4–6 hours, or as prescribed by a doctor.

• Wash hands before use and avoid touching the dropper tip to the eye.

• Remove contact lenses before application; wait at least 15 minutes before reinsertion.

• Shake well before use.

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to tobramycin, dexamethasone, or any component of the formulation.

• Viral or fungal eye infections (unless directed by a doctor).

Precautions:

• Use with caution in patients with glaucoma or a history of steroid-induced ocular hypertension.

• Long-term use may increase risk of eye pressure rise or cataract formation.

• Temporary blurred vision may occur after instillation.

Side Effects:

• Mild stinging or burning

• Eye irritation or redness

• Rare: allergic reactions, increased intraocular pressure

Storage:

• Store at room temperature below 25°C.

• Keep the bottle tightly closed and protected from light.

• Keep out of reach of children.

Pregnancy & Lactation:

• Use only if clearly needed and under medical supervision.

Drug Interactions:

• Minimal with topical ophthalmic use; caution with other ocular medications.

Notes:

• Complete the full course as prescribed.

• Do not share the drops with others.

• Regular follow-up with an ophthalmologist is advised for prolonged use.
