Generic Name: Sodium Hyaluronate 0.1% ophthalmic solution

Formulation: Eye drops, 5 ml bottle

Indications:

• Relief of dry eyes and ocular irritation.

• Provides lubrication for conditions such as keratoconjunctivitis sicca, post-surgical dryness, or environmental dryness.

• Helps protect and moisturize the ocular surface.

Dosage & Administration:

• Instill 1–2 drops in the affected eye(s) 2–4 times daily, or as prescribed.

• Can be used more frequently if needed.

• Wash hands before use and avoid touching the dropper tip to the eye.

• Remove contact lenses before application; wait 15 minutes before reinserting.

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to sodium hyaluronate or any component of the formulation.

Precautions:

• Use with caution if wearing contact lenses; remove lenses before application.

• Do not use if the solution changes color or becomes cloudy.

Side Effects:

• Temporary blurred vision

• Mild stinging or burning

• Rare: allergic reaction

Storage:

• Store at room temperature below 25°C.

• Keep the bottle tightly closed and protected from light.

• Keep out of reach of children.

Pregnancy & Lactation:

• Generally considered safe; consult a doctor if unsure.

Drug Interactions:

• Minimal; compatible with most other ophthalmic medications if separated by 10–15 minutes.
