Active Ingredients:
Insulin Aspart 30% (rapid-acting component)
Insulin Aspart Protamine Suspension 70% (intermediate-acting component)

Pharmacological Class:
Biphasic (premixed) insulin analog

Indication:
Used in adults and children with diabetes mellitus (type 1 or type 2) to improve glycemic control. It provides both rapid and intermediate insulin action to manage both postprandial and basal glucose levels.

Dosage:
The dose and frequency are individualized based on blood glucose levels, diet, and physical activity. Commonly injected once or twice daily before main meals.

Administration:

• For subcutaneous injection only using the prefilled FlexPen device.

• Roll the pen gently between the hands before use to resuspend the insulin evenly.

• Inject into the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm, rotating injection sites regularly.

• Do not inject intravenously or use in insulin pumps.

Precautions:

• Monitor blood glucose frequently to avoid hypoglycemia.

• Adjust dose during illness, stress, or major lifestyle changes.

• Do not share pens or needles.

• Store unused pens in the refrigerator; once in use, store at room temperature (below 30°C) and discard after 28 days.

Possible Side Effects:
Hypoglycemia (most common), local injection site reactions (pain, redness, or swelling), lipodystrophy, allergic reactions, and mild weight gain.
