Active Ingredients
Midodrine hydrochloride 1% w/v

Indications
Used for:

• Treatment of symptomatic orthostatic hypotension (low blood pressure upon standing)

• Management of dizziness, fainting, or lightheadedness related to low blood pressure

Dosage
Adults:

• Initial dose: 2.5 mg (0.25 ml of 1% solution) 3 times daily

• Dose may be gradually increased based on response, up to a maximum of 10 mg per dose, 3 times daily

• Avoid taking doses close to bedtime to prevent supine hypertension

Children:

• Use only under medical supervision; dose individualized

Contraindications
Severe heart disease, including ischemic heart disease, arrhythmias, or heart failure
Severe hypertension
Urinary retention
Hypersensitivity to midodrine or any component of the formulation

Side Effects
Piloerection (goosebumps)
Scalp tingling
Urinary retention
Supine hypertension (high blood pressure when lying down)
Rare: allergic reaction

Drug Interactions
Caution with other antihypertensives or sympathomimetic drugs
Monitor blood pressure regularly when used with medications affecting cardiovascular function

Store at room temperature, protected from light.
Keep the bottle tightly closed and out of reach of children.
