Medication Name: Mellitofix Trio 25/5/1000mg 30 Tablets

Active Ingredients:

• Empagliflozin 25 mg

• Linagliptin 5 mg

• Metformin Hydrochloride 1000 mg

Pharmacological Class:
Combination of SGLT2 inhibitor, DPP-4 inhibitor, and biguanide antidiabetic agent

Indication:
Used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults to improve glycemic control as an adjunct to diet and exercise when treatment with metformin, empagliflozin, and linagliptin is appropriate.

Dosage:
One tablet once daily or as directed by the physician.
Dose adjustments may be required based on renal function, blood glucose levels, and tolerance.

Administration:

• Take orally with meals to minimize gastrointestinal discomfort from metformin.

• Swallow whole with water; do not crush or chew.

Precautions:

• Evaluate renal function before starting therapy and periodically thereafter.

• Not suitable for patients with severe renal impairment, metabolic acidosis, or diabetic ketoacidosis.

• Monitor for signs of dehydration; ensure adequate fluid intake.

• Use caution in patients with hepatic impairment or heart failure.

• Discontinue before surgery or contrast imaging procedures.

Possible Side Effects:
Hypoglycemia (especially when used with insulin or sulfonylureas), urinary tract infections, genital infections, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, and dizziness.
