Medication Name: Gliptus 50/1000mg 30 Tablets

Active Ingredients:

• Sitagliptin 50 mg

• Metformin Hydrochloride 1000 mg

Pharmacological Class:
Combination of DPP-4 inhibitor (sitagliptin) and biguanide (metformin) antidiabetic agent

Indication:
Used in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus to improve glycemic control when treatment with both sitagliptin and metformin is appropriate, as an adjunct to diet and exercise.

Dosage:
One tablet once or twice daily, as prescribed by the physician.
Dose adjustments may be needed based on renal function and blood glucose response.

Administration:

• Take orally with meals to reduce gastrointestinal side effects from metformin.

• Swallow the tablet whole; do not crush or chew.

• Maintain adequate hydration during treatment.

Precautions:

• Assess renal function before starting therapy and monitor periodically.

• Contraindicated in patients with severe renal impairment or metabolic acidosis.
