Garamycin 0.1% Cream 15 gm

Active Ingredient

• Gentamicin Sulfate 0.1%

Indications

• Treatment of superficial bacterial skin infections, including:

  • Impetigo

  • Folliculitis

  • Infected eczema or minor cuts and abrasions

How to Use

• Clean and dry the affected area

• Apply a thin layer of cream 1–3 times daily, or as prescribed by a doctor

• Wash hands before and after application

• Avoid covering with airtight dressings unless directed by a physician

Common Side Effects

• Mild burning, itching, or redness at the application site

Serious Side Effects

• Rare allergic reactions (rash, swelling, severe itching, difficulty breathing)

• Prolonged use may contribute to antibiotic resistance

Contraindications

• Allergy to gentamicin or other aminoglycosides

• Not suitable for viral or fungal skin infections

Important Notes

• Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes

• Complete the full course even if symptoms improve

• Seek medical advice if infection worsens or does not improve within a few days
