Composition

• Pimecrolimus 1%

Indications

• Mild to moderate atopic dermatitis (eczema) in adults and children

• Especially useful for sensitive areas such as face, neck, and skin folds

• Alternative to topical steroids when long-term therapy is required

Mechanism of Action

• Selectively inhibits T-cell activation

• Reduces inflammatory cytokine release

• Controls redness, itching, and flare-ups without the side effects of steroids

Dosage & Administration

• Route: Topical

• Apply a thin layer to affected areas

• Use twice daily

• Suitable for intermittent or long-term use as advised

• Do not apply to broken or infected skin

Contraindications

• Known hypersensitivity to pimecrolimus

• Active viral, bacterial, or fungal skin infections

Precautions
