Medication Name: Congestal Syrup
Active Ingredient: Pseudoephedrine hydrochloride (usually 5–10 mg per 5 ml, depending on formulation)
Drug Class: Sympathomimetic decongestant
Indications:
Congestal Syrup is used for relief of nasal and sinus congestion due to:

Mechanism of Action:

Pseudoephedrine stimulates alpha-adrenergic receptors in the nasal mucosa.

This causes vasoconstriction, reducing swelling and congestion.

Helps improve nasal airflow and ease breathing.
Dosage and Administration:

Adults: 5–10 ml every 4–6 hours as needed.

Children: Dosage depends on age and weight; follow pediatrician’s instructions.

Do not exceed the maximum daily dose specified on the label.

Take after food to minimize stomach irritation.

Do not use for more than 7 days without medical advice.
