Composition

Each gram of gel contains:

• Adapalene 0.1% or 0.3% w/w (depending on formulation)

Indications

Used for the treatment of acne vulgaris, including:

• Blackheads (open comedones)

• Whiteheads (closed comedones)

• Inflammatory papules and pustules

Mechanism of Action

• Adapalene is a synthetic retinoid that binds to specific retinoic acid receptors in the skin.

• It normalizes the differentiation of follicular epithelial cells and prevents the formation of microcomedones.

• Reduces inflammation and promotes skin cell turnover.

Dosage & Administration

• Apply a thin film to the entire affected area once daily in the evening, after washing and drying the skin.

• Avoid applying to cuts, eczema, or sunburned skin.

• Wash hands after application.

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to adapalene or any component of the formulation.

• Avoid use on broken or eczematous skin.

Precautions

• Avoid excessive sun exposure and use sunscreen during the day.

• Do not use other topical products containing retinoids, benzoyl peroxide, or strong exfoliants unless prescribed.

• Temporary irritation, dryness, or mild redness may occur during the first weeks of use.

• Dryness or peeling of skin

• Mild burning or stinging sensation

• Local redness or irritation (usually temporary)
