Melacryst 3 mg Oro-Dispersible Films

Active Ingredient:
Eszopiclone 3 mg

Drug Class:
Non-benzodiazepine hypnotic (Sedative)

Indications:
• Insomnia (difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep)

Dosage:
The usual adult dose is 3 mg taken immediately before bedtime.
Place one film on the tongue; it will dissolve rapidly without water.
Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration possible.

Contraindications:
• Hypersensitivity to eszopiclone or any component of the product
• Severe hepatic impairment
• History of complex sleep behaviors after hypnotic use

Precautions:
• May cause next-day impairment; avoid driving or operating machinery
• Avoid alcohol during treatment
• Risk of tolerance, dependence, and withdrawal with prolonged use
• Use cautiously in elderly patients
• Avoid activities requiring full alertness after taking the dose

Common Side Effects:
• Drowsiness
• Bitter or metallic taste
