Composition

• Active Ingredient: Diclofenac Sodium 1–2% (common concentration in similar gels)

Indications

• Relief of muscle and joint pain

  • Sprains, strains, and bruises

Mechanism of Action

• Diclofenac is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that:

  • Reduces prostaglandin synthesis

  • Decreases inflammation, swelling, and pain

Dosage & Administration

• Route: Topical

• Apply a thin layer to the affected area 2–3 times daily

• Gently rub until fully absorbed

• Wash hands after application

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to diclofenac or other NSAIDs

• Avoid use on broken or infected skin

Precautions

• Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, or mucous membranes

• Do not bandage tightly over the treated area

Side Effects

• Possible mild skin irritation, redness, or itching

• Rare: allergic reactions
