Active Ingredient:
Semaglutide 7 mg

Pharmacological Class:
GLP-1 receptor agonist (antidiabetic agent)

Indication:
Indicated for adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus to improve blood glucose control as an adjunct to diet and exercise. It can also aid in weight reduction in diabetic patients.

Dosage:
Typically one tablet taken once daily. The 7 mg dose is usually prescribed after the initial 3 mg daily dose for at least 30 days, before considering an increase to 14 mg if needed.

Administration:

• Take orally once daily on an empty stomach with up to 120 ml of plain water only.

• Wait at least 30 minutes before eating, drinking, or taking any other oral medications.

Precautions:

• Not suitable for type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis.

• Use with caution in patients with a history of pancreatitis, thyroid tumors, or severe gastrointestinal issues.

• Regularly monitor blood glucose and renal function.

Possible Side Effects:
Nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, constipation, loss of appetite, and mild hypoglycemia (especially if used with other antidiabetic medications).
