Sinopril 10 mg (30 Tablets)

Active Ingredient:

• Lisinopril 10 mg (Angiotensin-Converting Enzyme Inhibitor – ACE inhibitor)

Therapeutic Class:
Antihypertensive and heart failure treatment (ACE inhibitor)

Indications:

• Management of essential hypertension in adults.

• Treatment of heart failure (alone or in combination with other drugs).

• Post–myocardial infarction management to improve survival and reduce complications.

• Diabetic nephropathy (to help protect kidney function in diabetic patients).

Dosage:

• Usual starting dose for hypertension: 10 mg once daily.

• May be taken with or without food.

• Dose adjustment may be required based on blood pressure response and renal function.

• For elderly or patients with kidney impairment, a lower starting dose may be used.

Precautions:

• Contraindicated during pregnancy and in patients with a history of angioedema related to previous ACE inhibitor therapy.

• Use cautiously in patients with renal impairment, dehydration, or low sodium levels.

• Regular monitoring of renal function, serum potassium, and blood pressure is recommended.

• Avoid potassium supplements or potassium-sparing diuretics unless prescribed.

• Stop use and seek medical attention immediately if facial or throat swelling occurs.

Possible Side Effects:

• Dizziness or lightheadedness (especially after the first dose)

• Dry persistent cough

• Fatigue or weakness

• Low blood pressure (hypotension)

• High potassium levels (hyperkalemia)

• Rare: rash, loss of taste, or angioedema
