Chartoreg Co 40/5 mg (28 Tablets)

Active Ingredients:

• Valsartan 40 mg (Angiotensin II receptor blocker)

• Amlodipine 5 mg (Calcium channel blocker)

Therapeutic Class:
Antihypertensive combination (ARB + Calcium channel blocker)

Indications:

• Treatment of essential hypertension (high blood pressure)

• Suitable for patients who require dual therapy to achieve target blood pressure levels

Dosage:
One tablet once daily, with or without food.
Take at the same time each day for optimal effect.
Dosage adjustments should be made only under medical supervision according to blood pressure response.

Precautions:

• Contraindicated in pregnancy and in patients with severe hepatic impairment.

• Use with caution in renal impairment or heart failure.

• Monitor blood pressure, renal function, and electrolytes regularly.

• Avoid combining with potassium supplements or potassium-sparing diuretics unless prescribed.

• Do not discontinue suddenly without consulting the physician.

Possible Side Effects:

• Dizziness or headache

• Swelling of ankles or feet (common with amlodipine)

• Fatigue or flushing

• Mild gastrointestinal discomfort

• Rarely: low blood pressure or elevated potassium levels
