Xalatan Eye Drops 2.5ml

Active Ingredients
Latanoprost 0.005%

Indications
Used for the reduction of elevated intraocular pressure in patients with:

• Open-angle glaucoma

• Ocular hypertension

Dosage
Adults: Instill 1 drop in the affected eye(s) once daily in the evening, or as directed by a doctor.
Do not use more than once daily; additional doses may reduce effectiveness.
Remove contact lenses before use and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting.

Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to latanoprost or any component of the formulation.
Caution in patients with ocular inflammation, macular edema, or a history of herpetic keratitis.

Side Effects
Mild burning or stinging upon instillation
Gradual darkening of the iris
Eyelash growth or thickening
Eye redness or irritation
Rare: systemic effects such as respiratory or cardiovascular symptoms

Drug Interactions
Avoid concurrent use with other prostaglandin analogs unless prescribed.
Use cautiously with other ophthalmic medications; separate applications by at least 5 minutes.

Storage
Store in a refrigerator (2–8°C) before opening.
Once opened, can be stored at room temperature for up to 6 weeks.
Keep the bottle tightly closed and out of reach of children.
