Otal Ear Drops 5ml

Generic Name: Ciprofloxacin 0.3% / Dexamethasone 0.1% otic solution

Formulation: Ear drops, 5 ml bottle

Indications:

• Treatment of bacterial ear infections with associated inflammation.

• Combines antibacterial (ciprofloxacin) and anti-inflammatory (dexamethasone) effects.

• Effective for otitis externa and acute otitis media with tympanic membrane perforation (if prescribed by a doctor).

Dosage & Administration:

• Adults and children over 1 year: 3–4 drops in the affected ear(s) 2–3 times daily, or as prescribed.

• Clean and dry the ear before application.

• Tilt the head to allow the drops to reach the ear canal and remain tilted for a few minutes.

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to ciprofloxacin, dexamethasone, or any component of the formulation.

• Avoid use in viral or fungal ear infections unless directed by a doctor.

Precautions:

• Use with caution in patients with perforated eardrum.

• Do not use for prolonged periods without medical supervision.

• Stop use if signs of allergy or worsening infection occur.

Side Effects:

• Mild burning, stinging, or itching in the ear

• Temporary ear discomfort or redness

• Rare: allergic reactions or fungal overgrowth

Storage:

• Store at room temperature below 25°C.

• Keep the bottle tightly closed and protected from light.

• Keep out of reach of children.

Pregnancy & Lactation:

• Use only if clearly needed and under medical supervision.

Drug Interactions:

• Minimal when used topically; systemic interactions are unlikely.
