Nestacoran 2 mg Tablets

Active Ingredient:
Risperidone 2 mg

Drug Class:
Atypical antipsychotic

Indications:
• Schizophrenia
• Bipolar disorder (acute manic or mixed episodes)
• Irritability associated with autistic disorder
• Behavioral disturbances

Dosage:
The usual adult starting dose is 1–2 mg daily, adjusted gradually according to response.
Maintenance dose typically ranges from 2–6 mg daily.
Follow physician’s instructions carefully.

Contraindications:
• Hypersensitivity to risperidone or any component of the product
• Known history of severe allergic reactions to similar antipsychotics

Precautions:
• Monitor for extrapyramidal symptoms
• May cause weight gain and metabolic changes
• Caution in elderly patients with dementia-related psychosis
• Monitor blood glucose and lipid profile during long-term therapy
• Avoid sudden discontinuation

Common Side Effects:
• Drowsiness
• Weight gain
• Dizziness
• Increased prolactin levels
• Extrapyramidal symptoms (tremor, rigidity)
