Active Ingredients

• Silver sulfadiazine 1% w/w

• Excipients in aerosol powder form

Indications
Used for:

• Prevention and treatment of wound infections

• Burns, cuts, and abrasions

• Skin injuries at risk of bacterial contamination

Dosage
Adults and children:

• Hold the can 15–20 cm from the affected area and spray a thin, even layer over the wound once or twice daily, or as directed by a doctor.

• Clean and dry the wound before application.

• Cover with a sterile dressing if advised.

Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to silver sulfadiazine, sulfonamides, or any component of the spray
Patients with known sulfonamide allergy

Side Effects
Mild skin irritation or burning
Discoloration of skin or nails at the application site
Rare: allergic reaction or rash

Drug Interactions
No significant systemic drug interactions expected with topical use.

Storage
Store at room temperature, protected from heat and direct sunlight.
Keep out of reach of children.
Do not puncture or expose the aerosol can to high temperatures.
