Dosage Form:

Tablets — 15 per pack

Indications:

• Essential hypertension (high blood pressure), particularly in patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with monotherapy.

• Reduces the risk of cardiovascular events in hypertensive patients.

Mechanism of Action:

• Perindopril: Inhibits ACE enzyme, decreasing angiotensin II and aldosterone levels, leading to vasodilation and reduced blood pressure.

• Indapamide: Increases sodium and water excretion by the kidneys, reducing blood volume and peripheral resistance.

• The combination provides a synergistic antihypertensive effect.

Dosage:

• Typical dose: One tablet once daily, preferably in the morning before breakfast.

• Dose adjustments should be made under medical supervision based on blood pressure response.

Precautions:

• Monitor electrolytes (especially potassium and sodium), renal function, and blood pressure regularly.

• Caution in patients with renal or hepatic impairment, heart failure, or electrolyte imbalance.

• Contraindicated in pregnancy and breastfeeding.

• Avoid use with potassium-sparing diuretics or potassium supplements unless directed by a physician.
