Clavimox 457 mg/5 ml Suspension

Active Ingredients:
Amoxicillin 400 mg + Clavulanic acid 57 mg per 5 ml

Therapeutic Class:
Broad-spectrum penicillin antibiotic (β-lactam + β-lactamase inhibitor combination)

Indications:

• Upper respiratory tract infections (sinusitis, otitis media, tonsillitis)

• Lower respiratory tract infections (bronchitis, pneumonia)

• Urinary tract infections

• Skin and soft tissue infections

Dosage:
Given orally after reconstitution with water. Shake well before each dose.
Should be taken at the start of a meal to improve absorption and reduce stomach upset.
The dose and duration depend on the patient’s weight, age, and infection severity as prescribed by the physician.

Precautions:

• Contraindicated in patients with allergy to penicillins or cephalosporins.

• Use with caution in patients with liver impairment or history of jaundice caused by antibiotics.

• Not effective for viral infections such as colds or flu.

• Complete the full course even if symptoms improve.

Possible Side Effects:

• Diarrhea, nausea, or vomiting

• Abdominal discomfort

• Skin rash or allergic reaction

• Elevated liver enzymes with prolonged use

Storage:
Store dry powder below 25°C.
After reconstitution, refrigerate (2–8°C) and use within 7 days.
