Active Ingredients:

• Amoxicillin 875 mg

• Clavulanic acid 125 mg

Pharmacological Class:
Beta-lactam antibiotic (Penicillin) with beta-lactamase inhibitor

Indications:
Used for bacterial infections caused by susceptible organisms, including:

• Upper and lower respiratory tract infections

• Urinary tract infections

• Skin and soft tissue infections

• Dental infections

• Bone and joint infections

Mechanism of Action:

• Amoxicillin inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to bacterial death.

• Clavulanic acid inhibits beta-lactamase enzymes, preventing bacterial resistance and enhancing amoxicillin activity.

Dosage:

• Adults: One tablet (1000 mg) every 12 hours, taken with food to minimize gastrointestinal side effects.

• Duration depends on infection severity and physician’s recommendation.

Precautions:

• Contraindicated in patients allergic to penicillin or cephalosporins.
