Chartoreg Plus 80/25 mg (28 Tablets)

Active Ingredients:

• Valsartan 80 mg (Angiotensin II receptor blocker)

• Hydrochlorothiazide 25 mg (Thiazide diuretic)

Therapeutic Class:
Antihypertensive combination (ARB + Thiazide diuretic)

Indications:

• Treatment of essential hypertension (high blood pressure) in patients not adequately controlled by monotherapy

• Helps reduce blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels and promoting mild diuresis (fluid elimination)

Dosage:
One tablet once daily, with or without food.
Best taken in the morning to avoid nighttime urination.
The dosage should be individualized by the physician according to patient response.

Precautions:

• Contraindicated in pregnancy and severe hepatic impairment.

• Use with caution in patients with renal impairment or electrolyte imbalance.

• Monitor blood pressure, kidney function, and electrolytes (especially potassium and sodium) regularly.

• Avoid taking potassium supplements or salt substitutes containing potassium unless prescribed.

• May increase sensitivity to sunlight; use protection if exposed.

Possible Side Effects:

• Dizziness or lightheadedness

• Increased urination

• Fatigue or weakness

• Mild dehydration or low blood pressure

• Electrolyte imbalance (low potassium or sodium)

• Rarely: allergic skin reactions or gout flare-ups
