Medication Name: Brufen 600 mg 10 Sachets

Pharmacological Class:
Nonsteroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug (NSAID)

Active Ingredient (per sachet):

• Ibuprofen 600 mg

Indications:

• Relief of mild to moderate pain (headache, dental pain, musculoskeletal pain)

• Reduces inflammation in conditions such as arthritis

• Reduces fever

Mechanism of Action:

• Inhibits cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) enzymes, reducing prostaglandin synthesis

• Provides analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antipyretic effects

Dosage and Administration:

• Dissolve 1 sachet in a glass of water (200–250 ml) before drinking

• Adults: 1 sachet every 8 hours as needed, not exceeding 3 sachets (1800 mg) in 24 hours

• Take with food or milk to reduce gastrointestinal discomfort

• Not recommended for children under 12 years unless prescribed

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to ibuprofen or other NSAIDs

• History of gastrointestinal bleeding or ulcers

• Severe heart, liver, or kidney disease

• Pregnancy (especially in the third trimester)

Precautions:

• Use with caution in patients with cardiovascular disease or hypertension

• Monitor for signs of gastrointestinal bleeding (black stools, vomiting blood)

• Avoid concomitant use with other NSAIDs

Common Adverse Effects:

• Nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain

• Rare: dizziness, rash, allergic reactions

• Rare but serious: gastrointestinal bleeding, kidney impairment
