Medication Name: Bioglita Plus 15/500 mg 30 Tablets
Active Ingredients:
Pioglitazone 15 mg
Metformin Hydrochloride 500 mg
Pharmacological Class:
Thiazolidinedione + Biguanide combination (antidiabetic agents)
Indication:
Used to improve blood glucose control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus when diet, exercise, and monotherapy with either pioglitazone or metformin are inadequate.
Dosage:
Typically one tablet taken once or twice daily with meals.
The dose should be adjusted according to individual glycemic response and tolerability.

Contraindicated in patients with severe kidney or liver impairment, or in those with heart failure (NYHA Class III or IV).

Monitor liver function periodically during therapy.

Use with caution in patients with a history of bladder cancer or fluid retention.

Avoid alcohol to minimize the risk of lactic acidosis.
Possible Side Effects:
Weight gain, fluid retention or edema, nausea, diarrhea, dizziness, headache, and mild hypoglycemia (especially when combined with other antidiabetic drugs). Rarely, lactic acidosis or hepatic enzyme elevation may occur.
