Generic Name: Amikacin sulfate 0.5–1% topical solution (spray)

Formulation: Topical spray, 100 ml bottle

Indications:

• Treatment of local bacterial infections on the skin or wounds.

• Effective against susceptible Gram-negative and some Gram-positive bacteria.

Dosage & Administration:

• Clean and dry the affected area before application.

• Spray directly on the affected area 1–2 times daily, or as prescribed by a doctor.

• Do not cover the area with airtight dressings unless instructed.

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to amikacin, aminoglycosides, or any component of the formulation.

Precautions:

• Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.

• Use with caution in patients with kidney impairment if systemic absorption is possible.

• Do not apply to large areas or open wounds without medical advice.

Side Effects:

• Mild local irritation, redness, or burning

• Rare allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling)

• Systemic absorption is rare but may cause aminoglycoside-related toxicity if used excessively.

Storage:

• Store at room temperature below 25°C.

• Keep the bottle tightly closed and protected from light.
