Seloken ZOC 100 mg (28 Tablets)

Active Ingredient:

• Metoprolol succinate 100 mg (Extended-release beta-1 selective adrenergic blocker)

Therapeutic Class:
Beta-blocker (cardioselective, extended-release formulation)

Indications:

• Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure)

• Management of angina pectoris (chronic stable chest pain)

• Adjunct therapy in chronic heart failure (NYHA class II–IV)

• Prevention of recurrent myocardial infarction

• Control of certain cardiac arrhythmias (e.g., atrial fibrillation, supraventricular tachycardia)

Dosage:

• Usual adult dose: one tablet once daily.

• Swallow whole with water; do not crush or chew.

• Take with or immediately after food.

• Dose may be adjusted gradually based on clinical response, heart rate, and blood pressure.

Precautions:

• Contraindicated in patients with severe bradycardia, second- or third-degree heart block, cardiogenic shock, or decompensated heart failure.

• Use cautiously in patients with asthma, COPD, diabetes, thyroid disorders, or peripheral vascular disease.

• Do not stop suddenly; taper dose over 1–2 weeks to avoid rebound hypertension or angina.

• Regular monitoring of heart rate, blood pressure, and ECG is advised.

• May mask symptoms of low blood sugar in diabetic patients.

Possible Side Effects:

• Fatigue or tiredness

• Dizziness or lightheadedness

• Bradycardia (slow heart rate)

• Cold extremities

• Gastrointestinal discomfort, nausea

• Sleep disturbances or vivid dreams

• Rare: depression, shortness of breath, or worsening heart failure
