Dalacin 2% Vaginal Cream 16.5 gm

Active Ingredient

• Clindamycin 2%

Indications

• Treatment of bacterial vaginosis

• Effective against susceptible anaerobic bacteria in the vaginal area

How to Use

• Insert the prescribed amount (usually one applicatorful) into the vagina once daily, preferably at bedtime, or as directed by a physician

• Continue treatment for the full course even if symptoms improve

Common Side Effects

• Vaginal irritation, burning, or itching

• Unusual vaginal discharge

• Mild gastrointestinal upset (rare when applied locally)

Serious Side Effects

• Severe allergic reactions

• Diarrhea or signs of colitis (rare)

Contraindications

• Known hypersensitivity to clindamycin or lincomycin

• History of antibiotic-associated colitis

Important Notes

• Avoid sexual intercourse during treatment unless using barrier protection

• Do not use intravaginally for other conditions unless prescribed
