Curam 1000 mg 12 Tablets

Indications:
Used for bacterial infections caused by susceptible organisms, including:

• Respiratory tract infections (sinusitis, bronchitis, pneumonia)

• Urinary tract infections

• Skin and soft tissue infections

• Dental and bone infections

Mechanism of Action:

• Amoxicillin: Inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, causing bacterial death.

• Clavulanic acid: Inhibits beta-lactamase enzymes, preventing bacterial resistance and enhancing amoxicillin activity.

Dosage:

• Adults: 1 tablet every 12 hours, preferably with food to reduce stomach upset.

• Duration depends on infection severity and physician guidance.

Precautions:

• Avoid in patients allergic to penicillin or cephalosporins.

• Dose adjustment may be needed in renal impairment.

• Complete the full course even if symptoms improve.

Possible Side Effects:

• Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea

• Abdominal discomfort

• Mild skin rash or itching

• Rare: liver enzyme elevation or severe allergic reactions
