Composition

• Hydrocortisone acetate (anti-inflammatory corticosteroid)

• Pramocaine (topical anesthetic for pain and itching relief)

Indications

• Local relief of inflammation, redness, and itching in:

  • Eczema

  • Dermatitis

  • Insect bites

  • Minor skin irritations

Mechanism of Action

• Hydrocortisone: Reduces inflammatory mediators, relieving redness and swelling

• Pramocaine: Blocks nerve signals responsible for pain and itching

Dosage & Administration

• Route: Topical

• Apply a thin layer to the affected area 2–3 times daily

• Gently massage until absorbed

• Do not use on broken or infected skin unless prescribed

Contraindications

• Allergy to hydrocortisone, pramocaine, or other corticosteroids

• Viral, fungal, or bacterial skin infections unless treated simultaneously

• Do not use on the face, groin, or underarms unless advised by a doctor

Precautions

• Avoid long-term continuous use

• Avoid use in children unless directed

• Do not cover with occlusive dressings unless instructed

• Avoid eyes and mucous membranes

Side Effects

• Skin thinning with prolonged use

• Irritation or burning sensation

• Hypopigmentation (rare)
