Colmediten 0.5 mg Tablets<\/strong><\/p>\n

Active Ingredient:<\/strong>
Colchicine 0.5 mg<\/p>\n

Drug Class:<\/strong>
Anti-gout agent \u2013 Anti-inflammatory<\/p>\n

Indications:<\/strong>
\u2022 Acute gout attacks
\u2022 Prevention of recurrent gout attacks
\u2022 Familial Mediterranean fever (FMF)<\/p>\n

Dosage:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  • \n

    Acute gout attack:<\/strong> 1\u20132 tablets at the first sign of attack, followed by 0.5 mg every 2\u20133 hours until relief or maximum dose is reached.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Prevention:<\/strong> 0.5\u20131 mg once or twice daily as prescribed.
    Adjust dose in patients with renal or hepatic impairment.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Contraindications:<\/strong>
    \u2022 Hypersensitivity to colchicine
    \u2022 Severe renal or hepatic impairment
    \u2022 Blood disorders (e.g., bone marrow suppression)
    \u2022 Pregnancy and breastfeeding unless advised by a physician<\/p>\n

    Precautions:<\/strong>
    \u2022 Use cautiously in elderly patients
    \u2022 Monitor for gastrointestinal symptoms and signs of toxicity
    \u2022 Avoid concomitant use with strong CYP3A4 inhibitors or P-glycoprotein inhibitors unless supervised
    \u2022 Discontinue if severe diarrhea, vomiting, or muscle weakness occurs<\/p>\n
