Composition<\/h3>\n

Each gram of cream contains Acyclovir 5% w\/w<\/strong> as the active ingredient.<\/p>\n

Indications<\/h3>\n

  • \n

    Treatment of Herpes Simplex virus infections<\/strong> of the skin and mucous membranes, including:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • \n

      Cold sores (Herpes labialis)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Genital herpes<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      May also be used for recurrent infections<\/strong> to shorten healing time and reduce discomfort.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      \n

      Mechanism of Action<\/h3>\n

      Acyclovir inhibits viral DNA synthesis<\/strong>, preventing replication of the Herpes Simplex virus in infected cells.<\/p>\n

      \n

      Dosage & Administration<\/h3>\n
        \n
      • \n

        Apply a thin layer<\/strong> to the affected area five times daily<\/strong> (approximately every 4 hours, omitting overnight application).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Begin treatment as soon as symptoms appear<\/strong> (e.g., tingling or burning).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Continue for 5 to 10 days<\/strong> or until lesions heal.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        For external use only.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Contraindications<\/h3>\n

          Hypersensitivity to Acyclovir<\/strong> or any component of the cream.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, or inside of the vagina<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
