adjusted as needed up to 40 mg per day.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"672\" data-end=\"809\">\n<p data-start=\"674\" data-end=\"809\"><strong data-start=\"674\" data-end=\"692\">Heart failure:<\/strong> Start with 2.5\u20135 mg once daily; titrate gradually according to clinical response (maximum usually 20\u201340 mg daily).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"810\" data-end=\"913\">\n<p data-start=\"812\" data-end=\"913\"><strong data-start=\"812\" data-end=\"844\">After myocardial infarction:<\/strong> Initial dose 5 mg within 24 hours, followed by 5\u201310 mg once daily.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"914\" data-end=\"990\">\n<p data-start=\"916\" data-end=\"990\">May be taken with or without food, preferably at the same time each day.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"992\" data-end=\"1010\"><strong data-start=\"992\" data-end=\"1008\">Precautions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1011\" data-end=\"1513\">\n<li data-start=\"1011\" data-end=\"1060\">\n<p data-start=\"1013\" data-end=\"1060\">Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1061\" data-end=\"1166\">\n<p data-start=\"1063\" data-end=\"1166\">Contraindicated in patients with a history of angioedema or known hypersensitivity to ACE inhibitors.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1167\" data-end=\"1249\">\n<p data-start=\"1169\" data-end=\"1249\">Caution in patients with renal impairment, dehydration, or low blood pressure.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1250\" data-end=\"1327\">\n<p data-start=\"1252\" data-end=\"1327\">Regular monitoring of kidney function and serum potassium is recommended.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1328\" data-end=\"1409\">\n<p data-start=\"1330\" data-end=\"1409\">Avoid potassium supplements or potassium-sparing diuretics unless prescribed.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1410\" data-end=\"1513\">\n<p data-start=\"1412\" data-end=\"1513\">May cause dizziness,
