data-start=\"427\" data-end=\"437\">Edema:<\/strong> Usual starting dose is 10\u201320 mg once daily; can be increased gradually according to response.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"534\" data-end=\"631\">\n<p data-start=\"536\" data-end=\"631\"><strong data-start=\"536\" data-end=\"553\">Hypertension:<\/strong> 5\u201310 mg once daily; may be adjusted if blood pressure remains uncontrolled.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"632\" data-end=\"709\">\n<p data-start=\"634\" data-end=\"709\">Take preferably <strong data-start=\"650\" data-end=\"668\">in the morning<\/strong> to avoid frequent nighttime urination.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"710\" data-end=\"752\">\n<p data-start=\"712\" data-end=\"752\">Can be taken <strong data-start=\"725\" data-end=\"749\">with or \/>Torsemide inhibits the <strong data-start=\"804\" data-end=\"833\">Na\u207a\/K\u207a\/2Cl\u207b cotransporter<\/strong> in the thick ascending limb of the loop of Henle, leading to:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"898\" data-end=\"1041\">\n<li data-start=\"898\" data-end=\"960\">\n<p data-start=\"900\" data-end=\"960\">Increased urinary excretion of sodium, chloride, and water<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"961\" data-end=\"999\">\n<p data-start=\"963\" data-end=\"999\">Decreased circulating blood volume<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1000\" data-end=\"1041\">\n<p data-start=\"1002\" data-end=\"1041\">Reduction in edema and blood pressure<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1043\" data-end=\"1061\"><strong data-start=\"1043\" data-end=\"1059\">Precautions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul
