Exforge 10\/160 mg (14 Tablets)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Active Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Amlodipine 10 mg<\/strong> \u2013 Calcium channel blocker<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Valsartan 160 mg<\/strong> \u2013 Angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Therapeutic Class:<\/strong>
    Antihypertensive combination (Calcium channel blocker + ARB)<\/p>\n

    Indications:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      Treatment of essential hypertension<\/strong> in patients not adequately controlled by monotherapy<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      May be used as a replacement therapy<\/strong> for patients already receiving the two components separately<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Dosage:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      • \n

        Usual dose:<\/strong> One tablet once daily<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        May be taken with or without food<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Dose should be individualized based on blood pressure response and tolerance<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Mechanism of Action:<\/strong><\/p>\n

          \n
        • \n

          Amlodipine:<\/strong> Relaxes vascular smooth muscle by inhibiting calcium ion influx, resulting in vasodilation and reduced peripheral resistance.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        • \n

          Valsartan:<\/strong> Blocks angiotensin II at the AT1 receptor, preventing vasoconstriction and reducing aldosterone secretion, leading to lowered blood pressure.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            Contraindicated in:<\/p>\n
