Epi-Dinitra 10 mg (20 Tablets)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Active Ingredient:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Isosorbide Dinitrate 10 mg<\/strong> \u2013 Nitrate vasodilator<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Therapeutic Class:<\/strong>
    Antianginal and vasodilator<\/p>\n

    Indications:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • \n

      Prevention and treatment of angina pectoris<\/strong> (chest pain due to coronary artery disease)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Management of heart failure<\/strong>, usually in combination with other cardiac medications<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Relief of ischemic cardiac pain<\/strong> by improving blood flow to the heart muscle<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Dosage:<\/strong><\/p>\n

        \n
      • \n

        Typical adult dose:<\/strong> 10\u201340 mg taken 2 to 3 times daily<\/strong>, as prescribed<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Should be taken with water<\/strong>, preferably at the same times each day<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        A nitrate-free interval (at least 12 hours)<\/strong> each day is recommended to prevent tolerance<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Mechanism of Action:<\/strong><\/p>\n

          \n
        • \n

          Isosorbide dinitrate is converted to nitric oxide, which relaxes vascular smooth muscle<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        • \n

          Causes venous and arterial dilation<\/strong>, reducing cardiac preload and afterload<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        • \n

          Improves oxygen delivery to the myocardium, relieving angina and reducing cardiac workload<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Precautions:<\/strong><\/p>\n

          • \n

            Contraindicated in:<\/p>\n

              \n
            • \n

              Severe hypotension or shock<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

            • \n

              Concomitant use of phosphodiesterase inhibitors<\/strong> (e.g., sildenafil, tadalafil, vardenafil) due to risk of severe hypotension<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

            • \n

              Severe anemia<\/strong> or increased intracranial pressure<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n

            • \n

              Use with caution in:<\/p>\n

                \n
              • \n

                Patients with hypotension<\/strong>, volume depletion<\/strong>, or orthostatic symptoms<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

              • \n

                Those with glaucoma<\/strong> or thyroid disorders<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n

              • \n

                Avoid abrupt discontinuation to prevent rebound angina<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                Possible Side Effects:<\/strong><\/p>\n

                  \n
                • \n

                  Headache<\/strong> (very common, usually improves with continued use)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

                • \n

                  Dizziness or lightheadedness<\/strong> (especially when standing up)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

                • \n

                  Flushing or warmth<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

                • \n

                  Low blood pressure (hypotension)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

                • \n

                  Rare: Reflex tachycardia, nausea, or allergic skin reactions<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                    Store below 25\u00b0C in a dry place, protected from light and moisture<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
