Epilat Retard 20 mg (20 Tablets)<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Nifedipine 20 mg (Retard formulation)<\/strong> \u2013 Calcium channel blocker<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Therapeutic Class:<\/strong>
    Antihypertensive and antianginal agent<\/p>\n

    Indications:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      Essential hypertension<\/strong> (high blood pressure)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Chronic stable angina pectoris<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Vasospastic (Prinzmetal\u2019s) angina<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Dosage and Administration:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      • \n

        Typical dose:<\/strong> 1 tablet (20 mg) once or twice daily<\/strong>, depending on clinical response.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Tablets should be swallowed whole with water<\/strong>, preferably after meals.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Do not crush, chew, or break<\/strong> the tablet (retard form ensures slow release).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Dosage may be adjusted by the physician according to blood pressure and tolerance.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Mechanism of Action:<\/strong><\/p>\n

          Improves oxygen delivery to myocardial tissue by dilating coronary vessels.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            Contraindicated in:<\/p>\n

              Severe hypotension<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

              Cardiogenic shock<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

                Avoid grapefruit juice<\/strong> (may increase nifedipine levels).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

                  Rare: Gingival hyperplasia<\/strong> with long-term use<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
