Dapagliflozin 10 mg<\/p>\n

SGLT2 (Sodium-Glucose Co-Transporter 2) inhibitor<\/p>\n

Indication:<\/strong>
Used for the treatment of:<\/p>\n

  • \n

    Type 2 diabetes mellitus to improve glycemic control as monotherapy or in combination with other antidiabetic drugs.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Heart failure with reduced ejection fraction.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Chronic kidney disease to reduce the risk of progression, hospitalization, or cardiovascular death.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Dosage:<\/strong>
    The usual recommended dose is 10 mg once daily, taken in the morning, with or without food.
    Dose adjustments may be needed if used with other antidiabetic medications.<\/p>\n

    Administration:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      Take orally once daily at the same time each day.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      Can be taken with or without meals.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      Precautions:<\/strong><\/p>\n

        Assess renal function before and during treatment.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        Not recommended in patients with severe renal impairment (eGFR <30 mL\/min\/1.73 m\u00b2).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        Monitor for signs of urinary tract infections or genital fungal infections.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Use with caution in patients prone to dehydration, hypotension, or ketoacidosis.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Possible Side Effects:<\/strong>
        Urinary tract infections, genital yeast infections, increased urination, dehydration, low blood pressure, and in rare cases, diabetic ketoacidosis.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
