    Linagliptin 5 mg<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Pharmacological Class:<\/strong>
    Oral antidiabetic combination (SGLT2 inhibitor + DPP-4 inhibitor)<\/p>\n

    Indications:<\/strong>
    Used in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus to improve glycemic control when diet, exercise, and\/or monotherapy with either component alone is insufficient.<\/p>\n

    Dosage Form:<\/strong>
    Film-coated tablets<\/p>\n

    Administration:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      Taken orally once daily, with or without food.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Mechanism of Action:<\/strong><\/p>\n

        Empagliflozin:<\/strong> Inhibits SGLT2 in the kidneys, reducing glucose reabsorption and increasing urinary glucose excretion.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        Linagliptin:<\/strong> Inhibits DPP-4 enzyme, increasing incretin levels which enhance insulin secretion and reduce glucagon release after meals.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Increased urination<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

          Genital or urinary tract infections<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

          Hypoglycemia (especially when used with insulin or sulfonylureas)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            Avoid use in patients with severe renal impairment or end-stage renal disease.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

            Monitor kidney function, blood sugar levels, and hydration status.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

            Use caution in elderly patients and those on diuretics due to the risk of dehydration.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
