    Mechanism of Action:<\/strong>
    Ciprofloxacin inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, enzymes necessary for bacterial DNA replication and repair, leading to cell death.<\/p>\n

    Dosage and Administration:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      Route:<\/strong> Intravenous infusion only<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Typical adult dose:<\/strong> 200\u2013400 mg every 8\u201312 hours, depending on the severity and type of infection.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Infusion time:<\/strong> Administer slowly over 60 minutes to minimize risk of local irritation or venous inflammation.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Do not mix with other IV medications in the same line.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Precautions:<\/strong><\/p>\n
