Indications:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Gynozol is used for treatment of vaginal fungal infections (candidiasis\/yeast infection)<\/strong>, which may cause:<\/p>\n

    Vaginal itching or irritation<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Abnormal discharge (white, thick, cottage-cheese-like)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Redness or swelling of the vulva and vaginal area<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    \n

    Mechanism of Action:<\/strong><\/h3>\n
      \n
    • \n

      Clotrimazole inhibits the synthesis of ergosterol<\/strong>, an essential component of the fungal cell membrane.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      This leads to disruption of the fungal cell membrane<\/strong>, causing death of the fungus and resolution of infection.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      \n

      Dosage and Administration:<\/strong><\/h3>\n
        \n
      • \n

        Adults:<\/strong> Insert 1 suppository (400 mg) vaginally at bedtime<\/strong> for 3 consecutive nights<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Wash hands before and after application.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Best to lie down for a few minutes after insertion to prevent leakage.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Avoid sexual intercourse during treatment or use a condom, as the suppository may weaken latex.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
